Electronic producer Skrillex, who stunned a lot of people by nabbing five Grammy nominations last month, including best new artist, has had a huge 2011. His ubiquitous single "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" has been one of the year's most unlikely anthems and has nearly single-handedly pushed the hard, wobbly-bass dubstep sound into the US mainstream.
The 23-year-old is capitalizing on this activity by dropping a new EP, "Bangarang," on Friday, followed a day later by the release of a new video for "Ruff Neck (Full Flex)."
